A love of writing and a passion for theatre, set the stage for my infatuation with film in college. One thing led to another and before long I was smitten. My obsession with film led me to a BFA in Multimedia Design from the University of Oregon. It was a program that allowed me to create my own curriculum. Through a series of independent projects I developed a variety of skills in both production and post. Likewise through independent reading and writing projects I learned the critical side of production. The elements that make a craft into an art.
After school I spent a year and a half working for KEZI, the local ABC affiliate. I began as a PA, shortly thereafter I was hired as a news photographer and finally became a commercial producer/director. My freelance work has taken me across the United States and included producing, directing, editing, and photographing a variety of projects. Features films, short films, documentaries, concerts, commercials and a television pilot. Although my first love will always be narrative film, I enjoy the challenge both technically and artistically in all media production.
